Please join the Alliance Française Atlanta CinéClub and the School of Modern Languages at Georgia Tech for a special screening of the masterpiece, Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959), by Alain Resnais.
This classic film explores the complexities of love, memory, and the profound impact of war and history, following a French actress and a Japanese architect as they navigate their own personal stories against the backdrop of the Hiroshima bombing’s enduring effects.
The screening will be followed by a talk by Robert Barsky, Professor of Humanities and Law at Vanderbilt University and a Panel Discussion “Perspectives on Film and The Hiroshima Bomb” with Stéphanie Boulard, Qi Wang and Amanda Weiss.
