Night of Ideas

May 14, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - May 15, 2022 @ 12:00 am

The first-ever in-person Night of Ideas in Atlanta invites intellectuals, artists, entrepreneurs, and the Atlanta public to embrace themes of city and culture, particularly in this moment of crisis and rebuilding. Where are we going?… As a city, as a society? How can we build a more democratic and inclusive city? What is the future of culture and the role of technology in our society? From 6pm to midnight, from a VR cinema experience to a participatory long table discussion, the very first in-person Night of Ideas in Atlanta offers a rich multidisciplinary program, combining debates, art installations, performances, screenings, and a closing party sponsored by Atlanta Influences Everything.

With the participation of Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, Accidental Queens, Salah Ananse, Lauren Tate Baeza, Gaëtan Bruel, Cheryl Finley, Alex Frankcombe, Ryan Gravel, Floyd Hall, Ashlee Haze, Maurice Hobson, Monica Delores Hooks, Bem Joiner, Anne Lafont, Camille Russell Love, Wanona Satcher, Amelia Schaffner, Rose Scott, Marina Skye, Elizabeth Strickler, Brian Tolleson, Donray Von, Fabian Williams, Joycelyn Wilson, and Ryan Wilson.

Presented by City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs and Villa Albertine, at The Woodruff Arts Center.
