Members of the Alliance Française d’Atlanta enjoy free access to our library’s collection of over 3000+ adult and children’s books as well as a DVD library of over 200 French language films. 


  • Library materials may be only be checked out during regular office hours with the assistance of a staff member.
  • In order to borrow materials from the Library, a security deposit is required. There is no charge to borrow materials; your card will only be charged if you do not return borrowed materials after 3 overdue notices.
  • Any item may be loaned for 2 weeks and renewed up to 2 times.
  • All items on loan shall be returned by their due date.
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for their children’s library materials.
  • All items on loan shall be returned on expiration of AFATL membership.


Alliance members have access to their favorite magazines as they hit newsstands. View concerts and shows, listen to lectures, introduce children to French culture, read e-books and comics, and enhance your language skills with materials tailored to your needs. 24/7 access from your personal computer, tablet, or smartphone to over 400 magazines, 1,000 books, 200 comics, 300 videos, 370 learning programs.

When accessing the Culturethèque library for the first time AF members will need to create a user account and select the Alliance Francaise d’Atlanta (we are first on the list). Once the account has been created and AF has confirmed that you are a member in good standing, you will have access to our digital library until the expiration date of your membership.
