A comedy that reflects on Algerian culture, family ties, immigration, lies and literature, Youssef Salem a du succès, directed by Baya Kasmi, follows A Maghrebi novelist struggling with the pros and cons of overnight success after publishing a book about his family. Youssef Salem’s book, “Toxic Shock”, is a success. The troubles begin, in particular because, in his novel, Youssef makes fun of his family whom he loves dearly.
The movie will be provided in French with English subtitles.
