**ATLANTA—August 31, 2026—**The Alliance Française d’Atlanta today announced the appointment of Victoire Auguste-Dormeuil as Executive Director, effective August 3, 2026. An experienced nonprofit leader with a background spanning finance, entrepreneurship, cultural programming, fundraising, and strategic partnerships, Auguste-Dormeuil will lead the organization as it expands its educational offerings, strengthens its community partnerships, and elevates French-speaking cultures and voices across metropolitan Atlanta.

Founded in 1912, the Alliance Française d’Atlanta is a member-supported cultural and educational nonprofit dedicated to teaching the French language and promoting knowledge of Francophone cultures. The organization offers language classes, cultural events, examinations, and community programs through its centers in Downtown Atlanta and Roswell.

The Alliance Française d’Atlanta is part of the Fédération des Alliances Françaises, the world’s largest cultural network, with more than 1,100 chapters in 138 countries. Through its distinctive partnership with the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta, known as Kultur Ensemble, the Alliance also forms part of North America’s only Franco-German cultural center and one of only nine such centers worldwide.

A native Parisian, Auguste-Dormeuil brings more than 20 years of international experience in nonprofit leadership, finance, entrepreneurship, cultural programming, fundraising, and partnership development. She is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and holds a master’s degree in economics from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Auguste-Dormeuil began her career in London as a mergers and acquisitions banker with Smith Barney before entering the entertainment industry, where she worked with MTV and Fashion TV and later founded her own music production company in Paris. After relocating to Southern California, she returned to finance with UBS Wealth Management and Merrill Lynch. She subsequently managed the financial and administrative operations of a manufacturing company and established a consulting practice advising entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized companies seeking to launch or expand their businesses in the United States.

Most recently, Auguste-Dormeuil served as Director of Membership and Advancement at the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, where she led substantial growth in membership, revenue, philanthropic support, and institutional partnerships. Her work brought together leaders from business, government, diplomacy, academia, and the nonprofit sector through programs designed to foster international understanding and civic dialogue.

Under Auguste-Dormeuil’s leadership, the Alliance Française d’Atlanta will pursue a strategic agenda centered on strengthening its language school, expanding membership, developing new sources of contributed and earned revenue, and creating distinctive cultural programs that reflect the breadth and diversity of the French-speaking world.

Another priority will be building partnerships with corporations, universities, schools, foundations, cultural institutions, diplomatic representatives, and Atlanta’s international communities. These collaborations will help position the Alliance as an essential Francophone cultural, educational, and civic platform for the region. “I am deeply honored to join the Alliance Française d’Atlanta and to build on more than a century of service to this dynamic and internationally connected city,” said Auguste-Dormeuil. “The Alliance is much more than a language school. It is a place of connection, culture, dialogue, and discovery—a place where people can learn French, experience the richness and diversity of Francophone cultures, and develop meaningful relationships across communities.”

Auguste-Dormeuil succeeds Richard Keatley, PhD, who is retiring after leading the organization and advancing its educational and cultural mission.

Her leadership will focus on combining the Alliance’s respected educational tradition with new programs, partnerships, and opportunities for cultural exchange that respond to the evolving interests of Atlanta’s diverse communities.
