There are many exciting things to consider as you ask yourself how much you care about maintaining and building the presence of French and Francophone Culture in our great city.

 

In the past 12 months, Atlanta has embraced the French language more than ever. Group class enrollments finally surpassed our pre-pandemic levels.

 

Not to mention, some iconic events this year include:

 

 

  • Our monthly CinéClub is generally packed on its third year
  • The third annual European Film Festival of Atlanta this May.
  • Bastille Day in partnership with the French Consulate
  • An immersion trip to Vichy, France with 22 members of AFATL
  • And our second French Market in Buckhead Village, with 11,000 attendees (that’s nearly four times as many as in 2023!) 

 

And also, everything we did under the banner of Kultur Ensemble, Alliance Française of Atlanta and Goethe Zentrum Atlanta collaborated on a wide variety of Franco-German cultural programming.

 

 

It has been un vrai plaisir to learn, discover, and celebrate with you––our members, new and old.

 

 

 

None of this would be possible without your support!

 

As you know, Alliance Française Atlanta is a 501 c(3) non-profit organization, with a mission to promote the study of the French language and an understanding of Francophone cultures. Your donations make up a significant portion of our operating revenue, allowing us to keep the prices of our engaging French classes competitive and most of our cultural events free.

 

 

I ask you to think honestly about what that means to you and to make a generous donation to the Alliance Française now. 

 

 

We plan to move forward next year by: 

 

 

  • Continuing our rich array of cultural programming, including CinéClub, Bastille Day, Wine-Tasting, French Market, and more!
  • Planning an art exhibition, Comicopia, hosted in conjunction with the Goethe Zentrum and highlighting the work of French, German, and American artists
  • Hosting programs focused on the creation of sustainable food and culinary events. 

 

 

We also have specific (costly) projects that will help us make our spaces more functional and inviting:

 

 

  • Transforming our Terrace Space at Peachtree Center, overlooking the skyscrapers of downtown, into an inviting outdoor lounge space for members. 
  • Updating the technology in our Roswell Center so our teachers can have the same video-conferencing technology that supports our classes downtown. 

 

 

 

Our success in accomplishing these goals depends on your generosity! 

 

For this giving season, our goal is to raise $30,000 by December 31st.
