Atlanta is set to be transported to the streets of Paris this September with our annual French Market, hosted by the Alliance Française. Located in the charming Buckhead Village, this exciting event promises a blend of French culture, cuisine, and entertainment, perfect for families, food lovers, and even furry friends. Here’s a sneak peek into what you can expect at this year’s market!
One of the main highlights of the market will be the tasting experiences. Enjoy a selection of fine French wines and spirits, available for purchase from our tasting stalls both inside and outside along the street. These spots will be ideal for sipping on a glass of wine while listening to the soothing sounds of live music, clinking glasses, and French chatter.
For those looking to dance the night away, there will be dance floors adjacent to the bars, allowing guests to grab a drink after breaking a sweat. The evening will kick off with a DJ set, followed by traditional French music, inviting guests to waltz and sway the night away.
The French Market is not just for adults; it’s a family-friendly event with plenty of activities for kids. Keeping up with tradition, we will have a “Kids’ Corner” packed with fun games like cornhole, crafts, Jenga, and Connect Four to ensure the little ones’ entertainment as well as your own.
Dog lovers are in for a treat! In collaboration with Fetch, a dog park local to the Shops of Buckhead, the market will feature a variety of dog-friendly activities. There will be many special activities to include your furry companions. Don’t miss the dog kissing booth and photo booth for some adorable memories. Vendors specializing in merchandise for pets will also be present, offering unique leashes, outfits, and more. You and your pup are sure to leave paws-itively delighted!
No French market would be complete without pétanque, the traditional French game similar to the Italian Bocce Ball. This year, there’s hope for an actual court, providing an immersive experience. To enhance this authentic experience, we hope to serve the traditional anise-flavored Ricard Pastis while you try to knock your opponent’s boule!
