This advanced B2+ level class will be dedicated to reading, studying and discussing a French novel while learning new vocabulary and developing expression in French.
The book this session is La Vraie Vie, by Adeline Dieudonné. It won the Prix du roman FNAC, the Prix Renaudot des Lycéens 2018 and is currently being developed into a movie. This book is the Federation of Alliances Françaises USA’s selection for the 2020 One Book One Federation Program, meaning that other Alliances Françaises throughout the country will be reading this book along with us. This program supports French literacy throughout the United States. By encouraging the reading of one book by all chapters during a single year, the Federation is able to assist in the creation of a reading guide and encourage the formation of reading groups.
