Learn and enjoy French language through music!

Claude developed “French through Song “over the past ten years of teaching, compiling French songs of all time periods and topics. Tailored to the A2/B1 level student, each lesson contains a short biography of an artist, song lyrics, and a variety of cultural and language excercises that develop all 4 areas of language: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. He will help you improve your French by enriching your vocabulary, reviewing grammatical concepts, and expanding your cultural horizons.

Meet the teacher

Claude Fournier grew up in Nancy in Lorraine (north-eastern region of France). After graduating college with an art degree, he taught drawing classes at the Nancy-Metz Academy. Then, he moved to New York where he stayed ten years teaching at the Lycée Français and at the Berlitz Foreign Language Center of Manhattan. During that time, Claude began to get very interested in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE). Therefore, he went back to school to obtain a Master’s degree in FLE. Then he moved to Taiwan and my career in French teaching took off. There, he worked five years at the Alliance Française and nineteen years at the University of Foreign Languages ​​Wenzao in Kaohsiung. Now, Claude that he’s living in the United States he says being honored to offer his expertise to the Alliance Française d’Atlanta. Besides French, he is passionate about art and he love hiking and bike riding in the mountains.
