Planning a trip to France? Learn how to navigate public transportation, find your way around a city or out of an airport, order dinner, and ask passersby for help. Build your vocabulary and hone your accent to prepare for your journey abroad. This introductory course will help you build a basic knowledge of French, covering French for practical scenarios – exactly the kind you’re bound to encounter abroad. No books required for this class.

Meet the teacher
Sophie De Fromont was born in Paris and moved to Lyon (south east of France) when married François. They then moved to State College, PA, in 2002. They have 5 children with whom they speak French at home making the kids bilingual. They recently spent 18 months in Germany with 3 of their children. Sophie found it a great experience being abroad and learning a new language, now she knows how challenging it can be for an adult. They moved to John’s Creek, GA, in 2017. Sophie is certified by the Alliance Française to teach French as a foreign language. She loves to craft: sewing, decorating, framing…She is really passionate about History and French culture and she enjoys sharing her passion with her students.
