This B1 course provides medical professionals the French language foundations to communicate effectively in a global health context. Building on students’ knowledge of French and medicine, it aims to deepen their understanding of French grammar and vocabulary in the context of global health, including specific thematic medical terminology. No book required, as the instructor provides/uses authentic materials, such as magazine/newspaper articles and websites/videos. Student input for discussion topics is welcome!

Meet the teacher
Leila Bihkak Leila is a Spanish, French and Moroccan Arabic (Moroccan dialect) native speaker. She is a translator, interpreter, language teacher and cultural liaison agent with 10 years of professional experience. Her knowledge of the Francophone world and her love of culture emanates in her teaching and inspires her students. She has taught children and adults at the Alliance over the last year in private lessons, summer camps, and other various offerings. Her creativity, high energy, and natural ability around children make her a fantastic French teacher and we are glad to have her among us!
