Emmanuel Cazes: I was born in Metz, France, close to the German border but I grew up in Tarbes, in the South West of France, 1h from  the Spanish border, at the foot of the Pyrénées mountains. After receiving a Master degree in Political Science from the university of Toulouse I was working for 23 years for the French department of education, youth and sports, in Tulle and after that in Mont-de-Marsan. In 2010 I married my wife who has been living in Atlanta  for more than 30 years and I finally moved here in 2015. We now live in Doraville in the historic Northwoods neighborhood and we love it. I started teaching at the Alliance Française after earning a degree in teaching French as a foreign language (DAEFLE) in 2017. For me, teaching French is not only teaching a language but also sharing a culture, helping students to discover the rich history and the traditions of my native country. I love history, watching movies, travelling around the world, soccer and I’m a huge fan of Atlanta United FC.
